Exelis has received a five-year, $121.8 million contract for end-to-end systems engineering support for Navy command, control, communications, computers and intelligence systems.
The Fleet Readiness Directorate of the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Command, San Diego, California, made the award.

Called the Fleet Systems Engineering Team (FSET), the cost-plus-fixed-fee task order under the Navy’s SeaPort-enhanced indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, multiple award contract could run through September 2018. It includes the base year plus two option years and two potential award periods.

The services include communications and network support for maritime operations centers, network operations centers, satellite earth terminals, and globally deployed Navy vessels.

“We have a long and successful history of providing critical network and communications support to our customers around the world,” said Ken Hunzeker, President of the Mission Systems division of Exelis.

“This selection is a critical part of our work with the naval services and positions us to be able to provide this service to the Navy and Marine Corps globally,” he added.
