On July 4th, Emmanuel LEVACHER, President, ARQUUS, presented General Jean Pierre BOSSER, Chief-of-Staff of the French Army, with the first Griffon vehicle’s license plate, during a ceremony organized in Satory, in the presence of the Minister of the Armies, Mrs. Florence PARLY.

This ceremony marks the beginning of the deliveries of the EBMR Griffon vehicles of the Scorpion program. It also materializes the work of the ARQUUS teams since the program launch by Minister Jean-Yves LE DRIAN, on December 5th, 2014.

This very important step, fruit of the collaborative work of all governmental and industrial shareholders involved in the program, is an opportunity for ARQUUS to renew its constant commitment to accompany the Army in its changes. The ARQUUS teams are proud to contribute to equipping our soldiers with the most modern and efficient equipment, in order to ensure victory.

Historical partner to the French Army, ARQUUS is one of the three industrial actors contracted by the Ministry of the Armies for the Scorpion program.

Expert of land mobility solutions, ARQUUS is contributing to the development of the latest generation of the forward armored vehicles of the Army, the VBMR Griffon and the EBRC Jaguar of the Scorpion program.

ARQUUS is notably in charge of producing the drivelines for both vehicles, which include all components which ensure the vehicles’ mobility. The Griffon and the Jaguar are notably equipped with 6x6 drivelines, granting the vehicles extreme mobility on all grounds, in accordance with the DGA (French Procurement Agency)’s requirements. The Jaguar will notably be able to accompany the Leclerc tank or the VBCI to grant them with additional support and maneuver in all conditions.

ARQUUS is also in charge of developing and producing the remote-controlled self-defense systems of the Scorpion program vehicles.

The remote-controlled weapons systems of the Scorpion program benefit from the latest technologies: Full HD imaging, extended connectivity with the vetronics, on-screen tactical situation management. This technical expertise brings the RCWS at the heart of collaborative combat.

Key to the support of the Scorpion program’s vehicles, ARQUUS will take charge of all the logistics of parts and organs for the Griffon and Jaguar vehicles of the Scorpion program, thanks to its logistics platform in Fourchambault (Nièvre, France). This 20,000m2 center, established in 2026-2018, will supply all industrial and governmental actors of the Scorpion programs, in very short times. It will thus ensure under all circumstances the technical availability of the Griffon and Jaguar vehicles.

Business Area of the Volvo AB Group, ARQUUS is one of the three members of the short-term consortium to which the French Ministry of Defense awarded the Scorpion contract. The Group will be participating in the development of the new generation of wheeled armored personnel carriers for the French Army: the VBMR (multi-role armored vehicle) and the EBRC (armored reconnaissance and combat vehicle).

ARQUUS also supplies the powertrains and small-caliber weapons systems operated by these two vehicles. The Group will also provide full logistics for spare parts and Scorpion subsystems.
