The Lebanese Army Command on Wednesday announced in a statement that the logistic brigade has received 150 Humvees through Beirut Port as a donation from the US authorities.

This donation is a part of the US aid programs allocated to the Lebanese Army, National News Agency (NNA) reported.

On 10 February 2022, the Lebanese Army also received a donation of vehicles and military equipment from the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Lebanese Army said via its Twitter account. The Army, however, did not specify the number of vehicles it received.

Many countries have recently made donations to the Lebanese Army as its budget shrinks and the living conditions of its soldiers deteriorate amid the unprecedented economic crisis the country is facing.

In October 2022, Washington donated six helicopters. France, Qatar, Turkey, Morocco and Oman have all donated humanitarian aid. Last November, the Korean contingent of UNIFIL donated 10 armored vehicles to the Army and announced that it had helped restore the emergency room of the military health center in Sur (Sidon).
