For 35 years, Mauderer Alutechnik from Germany has been manufacturing high quality aluminum products for the most varied applications and industries all around the world.
Based on Mauderers´ extensive experience in the production of aluminum ramps over many years, the company provides a wide range of bespoke, high-value and efficient bridging systems.

Quad bikes and medium-weight vehicles (MLC 12) have a significant increase in capability due to the addition of the Mauderer Gap Crossing Systems. Even complete vehicle convoys can move more independently in the theatre of operations as the short gap crossings enable the bridging of obstacles like irrigation canals or ditches. With a pair of folding aluminum ramps 3.1 m in length, a quad bike (inclusive trailer) can cross gaps up to 2.5 m. Each weighs only 22 kg.

The Vehicle Ramp Short Gap Crossing for military vehicles with a safe working load (SWL) of 4.500 kg per axle from Mauderer comes up with innovative ideas. The ramp system enables medium-weight vehicles (MLC) to cross gaps up to 2.5 m wide. The deployment or recovery of the ramp system only takes 5 minutes. Mauderer also offers ramp systems for heavy tracked or wheeled vehicles.

Innovative bridge-laying technology from Mauderer is demonstrated by the gap-crossing and transportation system for gaps up to 5.0 m wide. The fold-up aluminum construction is conceived for heavy military vehicles (MLC 28 to 40) and is of modular design. The system is hydraulically operated and powered by a diesel engine. This allows the very fast deployment and recovery of the bridge. The trailer is equipped with swing axles for extremely rough terrain and is available either with overrun brakes or air brakes. As an alternative to trailer mounting, the system can also be installed on a vehicle (e.g. SUPACAT HMT 600, Unimog).

Mauderer also offers a lightweight, robust, modular and portable bridge solution for soldiers. The system, based on a special aluminum alloy, enables soldiers on foot to cross small gaps (up to approx. 3 m in width) in the dismounted close combat role and during routine framework activity.

All Mauderer gap crossing systems comply with STANAG 2021 Military Computation of Bridge, Ferry, Raft and Vehicle Classifications; Trilateral Design and Test Code for Military Bridging and Gap-crossing Equipment as far as appropriate.
