RUAG’s Cyber Security products analyse data flows in real-time while maintaining privacy for customers’ data. To help customers detect unusual data flows and attacks on critical infrastructure, RUAG is working hard at the forefront of this new threat dimension.

The area of Cyber Security is ever growing in the defence industry as the severity of the “cyber threat” grows daily. The possible perpetrators of an attack are greater in number than traditional threats, and require less resources to cause harm. In order to respond, organisations must first be able to understand their own systems in order to identify weak points and unusual activity.

The Swiss focus their activities in three distinct areas; Cyber Security Services, Solutions and Research.

The Cyber Security Services branch focuses on securing a customer’s infrastructure. With forensics tools data flows can be analysed and direct through safe grounds.

The Cyber Security Solutions branch focuses on increasing awareness. These are customer specific solutions for protecting IP networks and online and offline data flow analysis. The products that RUAG Defence has in this area are “RUAG Traffic Analyzer” and “RUAG Traffic Visualizer”. These work together to help forecast, detect and mitigate threats.

Cyber Security Research branch focuses on getting decision support. In cooperation with universities and governmental organisations RUAG’s specialists work tirelessly on closing capability gaps, and bringing concepts and technology as quickly as possible to customers.
