The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in collaboration with representatives from the Saudi air transport sector, is participating in the prestigious 54th edition of the Paris Air Show - Le Bourget. Held in the capital of France, Paris, from June 19th to 25th, 2023, this global event attracts thousands of participants from the aviation, aerospace, and defense industries.

Led by His Excellency Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GACA, the Saudi delegation includes His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation. This high-level delegation is showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening relations with major international aviation companies and industry stakeholders, focusing on developing new routes and introducing promising opportunities within the framework of the National Aviation Sector Strategy.

At the heart of GACA’s participation is the presentation of the Saudi Aviation Strategy, which underscores abundant investment prospects at regional and global levels. The strategy’s primary objective is to double the sector’s capacity, catering to 330 million passengers annually across more than 250 destinations worldwide, while also increasing cargo capacity to 4.5 million tons. The pavilion features various entities, including Riyadh Airports Company, Dammam Airports Company, Jeddah Airports Company, the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation, Riyadh Airways, the Industrial Center, and the Industrial Development Fund.

A key highlight of the pavilion is the exhibition of cutting-edge technologies in the aviation industry, emphasizing sustainability. GACA is demonstrating its commitment to environmentally friendly operations through a range of initiatives and programs, including the implementation of renewable energy sources in selected airports. The institutional transformation of airports, entrusted to the private sector, aims to elevate operational efficiency, deliver exceptional services to travelers, and position Saudi airports as global leaders. These endeavors not only offer promising investment opportunities but also contribute to the national economy, boost the Kingdom's GDP, and attract foreign direct investment.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation is further highlighting the pivotal role of the civil aviation sector in driving the national economy and the wealth of investment opportunities it presents. With the launch of the Civil Aviation Sector Strategy, derived from the National Transport and Logistics Services Strategy, Saudi Arabia is poised to achieve remarkable local, regional, and international results, positioning itself as the leading aviation sector in the Middle East.

The Paris Air Show - Le Bourget is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost aerospace exhibitions, attracting key industry players from around the globe. GACA’s participation further solidifies Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing the aviation and aerospace industries, forging new partnerships, and driving innovation in line with its vision for a prosperous future.
