According to Abdullah Al Ruaimi, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contracts to build a new terminal at Jeddah International Airport may be awarded by end of this year.
A committee of ministry officials will make the decision, Al Ruaimi said. The authority plans to spend between $10 billion and $20 billion to develop and upgrade airports by 2020, with private investors set to contribute up to $10 billion, Ruhaimi said back in November.
