The Dubai Corp. for Aviation Engineering Projects Launched

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Law No. 2 of 2012 setting up the "Dubai corporation for aviation engineering projects" as an autonomous corporate entity attached to the Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC).

As defined by Article No. 5 of the law, the objectives of the newly-established body are to enhance Dubai's capabilities in the fields of planning and construction of airport and airport facilities in addition to attracting local and foreign investments in this regard.

The "Dubai Corporation for aviation engineering projects" will oversee the construction, renovation and operation of airports’ infrastructure and facilities inside and outside the emirate of Dubai.

As stipulated by Article No. 6 of the law, the Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) will be tasked with the general supervision of the newly-founded corporation including the ratification of its general policy, strategic plans and work programs and the preparation of its annual budget project in addition to approving the organizational structure of the corporation.

This law annuls any text in any legislation that contradicts with its provisions. The decree is effective from its date of issuance and shall be published in the official gazette.
