General Said Chanegriha, Delegate Minister to Algerian Minister of National Defence, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, begins an official visit to the State of Kuwait on 24 November 2024.
On the second day of his official visit, General Chanegriha was received by Sheikh Fahd Youssef Saoud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of the Interior of the State of Kuwait.
The audience was devoted to assessing the state of bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and the State of Kuwait, two countries that share strong and distinguished fraternal relations, embodied by the moderate and honorable positions of the two brotherly countries with regard to international and regional issues.
Deputy Chief of the Algerian Army Staff, senior officials of the Kuwaiti Army, the Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait Mr. Abdelkader Kacimi El Hassani and members of the Algerian military delegation, took part in the meeting, the Algerian Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
General Chanegriha also met with the Deputy Chief of Kuwaiti Army Staff, Major General Pilot Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During this meeting, which took place in the presence of senior officials from both countries, the two parties discussed bilateral military relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in a future perspective that takes into account the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
Subsequently, General Chanegriha visited the Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College, where he received comprehensive explanations about this important military training institution, as well as the training and instruction programs provided. In this regard, the General expressed his appreciation of the level of this training structure, expressing the wish to lay the foundations for future bilateral cooperation, which will allow the exchange of experiences with the Kuwaiti brothers in the field of training.
At the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, General Chanegriha had a meeting with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshaal Al-Sabah, during which the two parties discussed the distinguished bilateral relations that the two countries maintain and the means of strengthening them in a forward-looking approach that takes into account the interests of the two brotherly peoples and the historical and fraternal relations that unite them.
On the 3rd day of his visit, General Chanegriha toured the Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition, specialized in the field of hydrocarbons.
General Chanegriah also visited the 15th Moubarak Armored Brigade under the Kuwaiti Land Forces. After the welcoming ceremony given by the Command of this Brigade, General Chanegriha received comprehensive explanations provided by the Commanders of the formations, in particular on the nature of the missions of the Brigade, the training programs adopted, as well as on the weapon systems made available.
At the end of his visit, the General praised this important unit within the Kuwaiti Land Forces, in particular its human skills and its equipment and weapons, before wishing every success to its Command and its personnel. (Source & Photo © Algerian Ministry of Defence).
On the 4th day of his official visit to the State of Kuwait, General Chanegriha met with Lieutenant General Hashem Abdelrazak Al-Rifai, Deputy Secretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard.
During this meeting, which was attended by members of the high-level military delegation accompanying the General and military officials of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, the two parties examined bilateral military relations and ways to strengthen military cooperation between the armies of the two brotherly countries.
General Chanegriha held a one-on-one meeting with Sheikh Mubararak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Kuwaiti National Guard. During this meeting, the two parties exchanged views on the means and ways to achieve diversified military cooperation, within the framework of the positive dynamics of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
