Bahrain’s National Guard Commander Concludes Visit to Pakistan

Bahrain’s National Guard Commander, His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, met Wednesday at the Staff headquarters in Rawalpindi with Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (photo), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of HH General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa’s official visit to Pakistan to attend its celebrations of the Republic Day, , Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

On arrival at the Pakistani Army’s Headquarters, the National Guard Commander was officially received by the Pakistani Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Senior Officers.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza hailed the visit of the National Guard Commander to Pakistan which aims to further develop military relations between both countries.

The National Guard Commander lauded the advanced level of bilateral military cooperation, praising the role of the Pakistani Army in promoting regional and international security and stability.

Both sides discussed issues of common interest. They also reviewed relations of friendship and cooperation mainly in the military field.

On Tuesday, His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa met with Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, at the command headquarters in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force hailed the visit which comes within the framework of boosting military relations between both countries.

HH the National Guard Commander commended the advanced level of bilateral military cooperation, stressing the key role played by Pakistan in maintaining regional and international security and stability.

On Monday, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, in his office at the General Command of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in Rawalpindi.

The National Guard Commander commended cooperation and exchange of expertise between both sides, stressing keenness to further consolidate bilateral relations.

Both sides discussed issues of common interest and ways of boosting coordination between the National Guard and the Pakistani Army. They also spotlighted regional and international issues of common interest.

The National Guard Commander arrived in Islamabad earlier on an official visit at an invitation by General Asim Munir to participate as a “Guest of Honor” in Pakistan’s celebrations of its Republic Day.

HH General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa was received on arrival at Nur Khan Military Base in Rawalpindi by senior officers of the Pakistani Army as well as Bahraini Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed and embassy staff members.

HH Shaikh Mohammed also met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.

He conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their best wishes of further success and prosperity to Pakistan.

The two sides exchanged views on the ways to enhance relations between Bahrain and Pakistan across all areas. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest.

HH Shaikh Mohammed lauded the advanced level of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two countries and stressed keenness on consolidating them.

The Pakistani Prime Minister commended Bahrain’s support and relief during the inundations in Pakistan in 2022, saying the generous gesture helped alleviate the people’s suffering.

The Prime Minister lauded Bahrain’s progress in all areas led by HM the King and hailed the cooperation and coordination between both countries.
