Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz visited Thursday French Frigate Chevalier Paul in the Mediterranean Sea, south of France.
Upon his arrival, he was received by French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
An official reception was held in honor of Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, during which the guard of honor was passed in review and the national anthems were played.
The Minister of Defense witnessed an air defense drill with the participation of a number of Rafale aircraft, as he was briefed on their defense capabilities, sophisticated and advanced technologies and equipment.
The Minister of Defense headed for the command tower of the frigate and wrote a statement in the frigate’s visitor book.
Prince Khalid bin Salman was briefed by the frigate operations center on how to manage naval maneuvers and communicate with air, surface and subsurface units.
During the visit, the Saudi minister was accompanied by Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, Director General of Defense Minister’s Office Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, and several other officials.
