Qatari, French Defence Ministers Witness MoU Signing for Industrial Investment

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met with Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecornu at the headquarters of the French Ministry of Armed Forces in Paris on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of common concern between the two sides, ways to strengthen and develop them, and the latest regional developments, particularly the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip.

The meeting included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides on cooperation in the field of industrial investment, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Earlier this month, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces HE Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit met with Chief of Staff of the French Army General Thierry Burkhard and his accompanying delegation in Doha on 12 February.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance them, in addition to signing of the minutes of the 25th meeting of the Qatari-French joint higher committee held annually within the framework of the existing strategic partnership between the two nations.

High-ranking officers from both sides attended the meeting.
