The Royal Jordanian Navy handed over the command duties of the Combined Task Force (CTF) 154 to the Egyptian Navy Forces, during a change of command ceremony that took place last week at the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF)'s headquarters in Manama.

Jordan’s seven-month leadership was a commitment to strengthen the role of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army in regional security, according to JAF statement.

During the ceremony, CMF Commander, Vice Adm., George Wikoff, praised the “distinguished” role of Jordanian Navy’s participation within the CMF’s mission in Bahrain.

A number of Ambassadors, Military Attachés and Diplomats in Bahrain attended the ceremony.

Established recently, the Combined Task Force (CTF) 154 focuses on training and building capabilities that would enhance maritime security operations in the region.
