Malaysian Defense Minister Mohammad Nordin visited Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait and was briefed about the base and its duties.
The Ministry of Defense said in a press statement on Tuesday that the Malaysian Minister toured various facilities of the Base and viewed the squadrons and aircraft hangars, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The Malaysian Minister was received upon his arrival at the Base by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and Acting Commander of the Air Force Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and a number of Air Force Officers.
The Malaysian Defense Minister and his accompanying delegation are currently on an official visit to Kuwait to discuss ways to enhance bilateral military relations between the two friendly countries.
In another development, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace Tuesday Dubai Crown Prince, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashed Al-Maktoum and the accompanying delegation on their official visit to the country.
During the reception, Sheikh Hamdan conveyed greetings from President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al-Maktoum to His Highness the Amir, wishing Kuwait and its people further progress and development.
