Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), attended Sunday the launch of the joint naval exercise “Bridge 25”, which is carried out by the BDF, and represented by the Royal Bahraini Naval Force (RBNF), in cooperation with the Eastern Fleet of the Royal Saudi Navy.
The Exercise Director, Naval Colonel Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Abdulqader, indicated that “Bridge 25” aims to standardise combat concepts and enhance the mechanisms of cooperation and integration between the Armed Naval Forces, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
This can be achieved through the implementation of various stages of joint military operations, and the application of naval battle management procedures, which contributes to raising the efficiency of officers and personnel in command and control operations, in addition to the exchange of combat experiences during naval operations, he added.
The joint naval exercise “Bridge 25” is an extension of the series of “Bridge” exercises, which is carried out continuously between the Naval Forces of the two countries, as it is one of the most prominent bilateral maritime training activities, whether in terms of level, size of the participating forces or the technology of combat equipment.
The exercise also highlights the degree of professionalism of officers, non-commissioned officers and members of the Naval Forces participating in its various stages. This exercise practically embodies the spirit of cohesion and cooperation, and joint military coordination between the two countries.
In another development, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Defence Affairs, attended Sunday the graduation ceremony of the second advanced judicial course for officers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and military and security agencies in Bahrain, organized by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Military Judiciary.
Participants included representatives from the military judicial bodies of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman, along with Bahraini military and security personnel.
The Minister commended the efforts behind the course’s success, highlighting the directives of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), to provide necessary resources for GCC armed forces members. He congratulated all participating officers on their achievements.
Major General Dr. Yousef Rashid Fleifel, Chief of the Military Judiciary and President of the Military Court of Cassation emphasized the importance of academic initiatives, such as annual judicial courses, as part of the reform efforts initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The course was supervised and implemented by military judiciary officers and specialists from various legal entities in Bahrain.
The Minister presented certificates to the graduates and honored the top performers, congratulating them on their successful completion of the course.
