Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani met in the hospitality building (Al-Rumaila) with Minister of National Defence of Greece Nikolaos Georgios Dendias and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Qatar on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of common interest and the ways to enhance and develop them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs for Military and Security Affairs HE Major-General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai, Office Manager of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Major-General (Sea) Nasser bin Mohammed Al Kaabi, Commander of the Amiri Air Force HE Major-General (Pilot) Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Dosari.
Head of the International Military Cooperation Authority Staff Brigadier General Abdulaziz Saleh Al Sulaiti, along with a number of senior officials and officers from both sides also attended the meeting.
For his part, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani separately met with Minister of National Defence of Greece Nikolaos Georgios Dendias in Doha on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries and the ways to support and enhance them. They also discussed the updates in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, the developments in Syria, and a number of topics of common interest.
In another development, the Amir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the strategic ties between the two countries and avenues for strengthening and enhancing them across various fields.
This came during HH the Amir’s meeting with the Turkish President at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Tuesday.
