The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is organizing the participation of the Saudi pavilion in the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), one of the world’s prominent defense exhibitions, held in Istanbul Expo Center in Türkiye from July 22 to 27. IDEF serves as a strategic platform to showcase the latest advancements in the military industry.
Alongside GAMI, the Saudi pavilion features several public and private sector entities, including the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS), Al-Esnad Industrial Company, the Saudi Chemical Company Limited (SCCL), Ray Manufacturing Service Company (RMC), INTRA Defense Technologies, GDC Middle East, Qudra Industrial Company, Pioneers Systems, as well as the World Defense Show (WDS).
This participation aims to highlight the rapid developments in the military industries sector in Saudi Arabia, showcase prominent national manufacturing products and capabilities, and display advanced technologies of Saudi military capabilities.
Additionally, it aims to facilitate collaboration and partnership opportunities between companies in the sector and global firms, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to localize the military industry, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
By organizing the Saudi pavilion in the IDEF 2025, GAMI aims to highlight the Kingdom's progress in building a robust and sustainable defense industrial base, as well as its efforts to support companies in the military industry sector and enhance their international competitiveness.
GAMI will also showcase its national mandates, priorities, policies, regulations, incentives, investor journey, and key capabilities in the military and security industries, thereby contributing to the attraction of investments in the sector.
The IDEF 2025 17th International Defence Industry Fair is hosted by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, supported by the Presidency of Defence Industries, and organized by KFA Fairs Organization Inc., under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
IDEF is an event where state and private sector officials from all corners of the world come together to showcase and discover new products and technologies. In 2023, the fair hosted 1,461 participating companies from 54 countries and 94,198 professional visitors from 107 countries.
In addition to participants and visitors, 187 delegations from 78 countries and 3 international organizations were hosted, with 141 signature ceremonies taking place for national and international contracts.
