ELT is attending the DEFEA exhibition at the Metropolitan Expo Centre between 9th and 11th May.

Greece has significantly increased its role as a geopolitical leader in the Eastern Mediterranean and Balkans. The Hellenic Ministry of National Defence’s DEFEA 2023 event is the perfect opportunity for ELT to confirm its commitment to supporting the Hellenic armed forces and Hellenic defence industry.

Visitors to ELT’s stand can learn more about the company’s involvement with Greece and discover the capabilities it provides to meet today’s and tomorrow’s defence and security challenge with leading edge Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities in the sea, land and air domains. Ensuring electromagnetic spectrum superiority and supremacy not only depends on advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, but also big data analysis and cyber security.

ELT is showcasing the following advanced capabilities:

EW for Naval Applications

ELT is world leader in naval surveillance, protection and intelligence with a state-of-the-art technology portfolio integrating several capabilities within software-defined systems. This enables electronic protection, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), cyber defence and naval airborne operations all using the same solution.

ELT’s capabilities are designed for all vessel types and naval aviation platforms. ELT been selected by navies across Asia, Europe and North Africa as their preferred EW provider. To this end, its systems are in service on over 70 surface ship and submarine types.

All ELT capabilities are conceived, developed and produced in-house, and are designed for exportability.

ADRIAN (Anti-Drone Interception Acquisition Neutralization)

ADRIAN is ELT’s state-of-the-art Counter-Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (CUAV) solution is designed to intercept and neutralize Low, Small and Slow (LSS) UAVs in multiple scenarios and environments, including urban and dense-urban settings.

Traditional sensors and countermeasures may be neither effective nor applicable in urban warfare. ADRIAN is based on multispectral sensors including radar, optronics, acoustics, and radio frequency detection and interception, and uses data fusion for UAV detection and identification. Highly sensitive and efficient receivers aid LSS detection. Data fusion algorithms in the mission planning station provide a high probability of interception, a low false alarm rate and comprehensive situational awareness within ADRIAN’s reaction management tool.

ADRIAN’s reactive, smart jammer can jam the UAV’s radio links and navigation signals. Innovative jamming techniques enhance the effectiveness of soft kill techniques against hostile platforms while ensuring that friendly platforms are left undisturbed.

ADRIAN’s architecture is modular and can be tailored to operational, environmental and cost/effectiveness requirements.

Elt has been at the forefront of Electronic Warfare for more than 70 years, supplying over 3000 high-tech systems to the armed forces and governments of 30 countries. ELT’s systems are designed for a variety of missions, including strategic surveillance, self-protection, intelligence gathering, electronic defence and operational support for the sea, land and air domains.

The company has a strong record of successful national and international collaborations on major programmes like the Tornado fighter, the Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft, the NH-90 helicopter, the Italian offshore patrol vessel and the Franco-Italian Horizon and FREMM warship. The company is part of a Group which also includes CY4GATE, specialising in cyber EW, cybersecurity and intelligence; Elt GmbH, a German subsidiary specialising in the design of homeland security systems and EltHub is focused on research, innovation and fast prototyping.
