Exail, a leading high-tech industrial group specializing in cutting-edge robotics, maritime, navigation, aerospace and photonics technologies, announces the appointment of Jérôme Bendell as new CEO of its Aerospace & Land Business Area, succeeding Gilbert Rosso. This appointment became effective on July 1st, 2023.
Jérôme Bendell leverages 30 years of operational and management experience in the aerospace, defense and high-tech sectors. He was previously an executive within Thales, where his roles included Vice President Northern Asia and CEO China between 2019 and 2022, Vice President for strategic projects in Saudi Arabia between 2017 and 2019, and CEO of Thales Raytheon Systems SAS from 2013 to 2017. He was also Vice President Strategy, Defense and Security at Alcatel-Lucent between 2003 and 2009, and Director of Marketing and Sales at Alcatel Space.
Jérôme Bendell began his career at the French Ministry of Armed Forces, where he held positions as technical expert and program director, mainly in the naval and aeronautical sectors. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Aéronautique et de l’Espace, and was an auditor at the 71st session of the IHEDN (Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence).
