L3Harris Technologies has received a new U.S. Army contract worth up to $871 million to deliver fuzes that will support U.S., ally and partner missions.
“This contract demonstrates our significant contribution to replenishing our nation’s critical munitions inventory,” said Jon Rambeau, President, Integrated Mission Systems, L3Harris.
“We look forward to supporting the U.S., its allies and partners with field-proven solutions,” he added.
The company will supply M762A1 and M767A1 Electronic-Time Fuzes on the five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. L3Harris has 60 years of experience providing advanced fuzing and ordnance systems and precision electronic components for the Department of Defense and international customers, specializing in the design and manufacture of mechanical and electro-mechanical fuzes.
L3Harris Technologies also announced it has opened a new location in Italy, marking a milestone in its expansion within Europe aimed at promoting collaboration and cross-disciplinary innovation.

“Our office in Rome is strategically positioned to serve as a central hub for engaging with local partners to support our expansion across the region and within NATO,” he stressed.
L3Harris has also appointed Tiziana Cotugno as the Head Executive for L3Harris Europe; she brings decades of global aerospace and defense experience to the role. Cotugno will operate from the Rome office and oversee the company’s European Advisory Board comprised of directors and local business leadership.
L3Harris is actively supporting the Italian Joint Intelligence Center and Italian Air Force through the integration of the Joint Airborne Multi-Mission Multi-Sensor System program. This program is one of several that are integral to L3Harris’ expanding array of multi-mission business jet solutions available across various commercial platforms to support critical global security operations.
L3Harris, via its acquired company Calzoni, has a distinct and long history in the country, having collaborated with the Italian Navy on projects dating back to World War I.
