The Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman was received by his Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto (photo) during an official visit to Rome on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Both Ministers reviewed a guard of honor and a luncheon was held in honor of Prince Khalid.

Prince Khalid and Crosetto held a meeting in the presence of their delegations, during which they reviewed Saudi-Italian relations.

Prospects of defense cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries were also discussed.

The Ministers also discussed the latest regional and international developments, and topics of common interest.

On Wednesday, the Saudi Minister of Defense met with leaders of major Italian industrial companies in Rome.

This meeting, part of Prince Khalid’s official visit to Italy, explored promising opportunities for collaboration in defense industries, research and development, and technology transfer, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
