Embraer is promoting its complete portfolio of innovative products and solutions for the defense and security markets at LAAD Defence & Security 2023, the sector’s most important fair in Latin America. The event’s 13th edition is taking place at Riocentro, in Rio de Janeiro, between April 11th and 14th.
The company will celebrate the recent achievement of the Final Type Certificate for the C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft program, reflecting its Full Operational Capability (FOC). The FOC certificate confirms that the project meets all the requirements defined by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and that the aircraft performs all the missions for which it was designed.
“We are pleased to return to LAAD after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic and to celebrate this achievement for the C-390 alongside our customers, business partners, and suppliers,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.
“The C-390 has already started a successful international career with orders from Portugal and Hungary, and more recently, the selection by the Netherlands. We are sure that obtaining the FOC certificate will be another breaking point for the sales campaign’s success,” he added.
Embraer Defense & Security’s products and solutions, which are present in more than 60 countries, include the C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft, the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft, and comprehensive solutions for the air, land, sea, space, and cyber segments.
Embraer is also promoting its radars and ground systems portfolio at LAAD, presenting its latest development in surveillance and early warning aircraft, the M200 VIGILANTE radar, in addition to the M20 radars, portable ground surveillance radar, and the SABER M60, for low-altitude air defense and surveillance applications.
