During this month’s Royal visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK), Systematic signed an MOU with Huneed Technologies to co-operate closely in the tactical command and control sector.
The MOU signing ceremony was presided over by HRH Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark, Lieutenant General and Commander of Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization Per Pugholm Olsen, and Mr. Dae-lae Noh, Commissioner of the Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
Michael Holm, President and CEO of Systematic, said “We are delighted to sign this agreement with Huneed. Our SitaWare command and control software is a perfect complement to Huneed’s communications technology. Working together, our products will provide customers with a highly interoperable and fully scalable off-the-shelf solution.”
Sung-nam Lee, CEO of Huneed Technologies, agreed saying “This MOU represents a new era for defense co-operation between Korea and Denmark, and both companies will work together closely to expand businesses locally and worldwide by creating synergistic benefits from the command and control software of Systematic and the tactical communications expertise of Huneed.”
Under the MOU, Huneed and Systematic will pursue land warfare opportunities including coalition interoperability and operational planning to support the transition of operational command from United States Forces Korea to the leadership of Republic of Korea.
The two companies will also provide software maintenance to the data link on Peace Eye Aircraft delivered to ROK Air Force by Boeing as part of the Airborne Early Warning & Control program.
