Head of Bahrain’s National Guard Visits Pakistan on National Day

Bahrain’s National Guard Commander General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Islamabad on an official visit at the invitation of Pakistani Army Pakistan Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to attend, as Guest of Honor, festivities marking Pakistan Day, which falls on March 23.

He was received on his arrival at Nur Khan Air Force Base in Rawalpindi by senior Pakistani Army officers, Bahraini Ambassador to Islamabad Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa met Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and conveyed to him greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations across all fields, commended the advanced level of cooperation, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to bolster joint ties, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

They also discussed issues of common concern and ways of further consolidating joint cooperation and coordination. Regional and international developments also came under the spotlight.

The Pakistani Premier also praised Bahrain’s development strides, led by HM the King, lauding joint cooperation, particularly in international arenas towards supporting the interests of both countries as well as the Islamic nation.

In attendance were Bahrain’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed and Major General Abdulrahman Rashid Al Saad, Head of the National Guard Commander’s Office.

The Bahrain National Guard President General also met during his visit to Pakistan, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza.

The meeting discussed topics of common interest, reviewing many aspects to develop military cooperation.

The National Guard President praised the advanced levels of cooperation and military exchange between the two countries, highlighting Pakistani role in maintaining global and regional security and stability.

Earlier this month, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received, at the BDF General Command, the Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistani Navy, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, and his accompanying delegation.

Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, were present.

National Guard President General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa also received the visiting Pakistani Admiral.

Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan and his accompanying delegation also paid a visit to the Royal Bahraini Naval Force (RBNF), where they were welcomed by RBNF Commander, Rear Admiral Mohammed Yousef Al-Asam.

Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff was briefed about RBNF’s organization, duties, development stages and weaponry.
