RUAG participated at the Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEi) Exhibition which was held in London this past week (13-16 September 2011).

As a technology partner of the Swiss Army and other international customers, RUAG participates in such industry fairs in order to observe trends and meet customers and partners from selected markets.

Highlights presented by RUAG at DSEi included a highly effective protection against mines for armored crew-carrying vehicles, which was a winner in Germany against stiff competition, and which will be fitted in coming years to 405 PUMA vehicles.

RUAG also highlighted Missim, a new three-in-one test device for aircraft defense systems. This can test the deployment readiness of radar, laser, and UV sources simultaneously, and thus provides certainty about their functioning.

In the focal point were the platforms of the Swiss Army and the German Bundeswehr, on which the core skills of RUAG are based.

As a strategic technology partner for land forces, RUAG Defense provides value retention and enhancement programs for heavy weapon systems, protection solutions for armored vehicles, virtual and live simulation systems for more effective training, plus guidance, communication, radar, and reconnaissance systems.

RUAG Ammotec is specialized in the development and manufacture of small caliber ammunition for hunting and sport, as well as for armies and public bodies. RUAG Aviation is focused on military and civil aircraft maintenance, as well as the development, integration, and manufacture of components and sub-systems.
