RUAG at Eurosatory 2012
19.06.2012 Europe
RUAG Ammotec presented the new standard penetrator projectile HC+ from its small-caliber ammunition range at the Eurosatory Exhibition which took place in Paris this past week (11-15 June 2012).
In addition to enhanced penetration capacity, this innovative product features a proprietary powder that minimize muzzle flash and allowing shooters to better maintain concealment and preserves barrel fouling.
RUAG Ammotec also showcased the RUAG Swiss P cartridges, developed for snipers and designated marksmen around the world and which now conform with military standards in respect of sealing and resistance to water and heat. Even under severe conditions (high temperature differences, weather conditions, lengthy missions), marksmen can still depend on its outstanding accuracy.
RUAG Defence took Eurosatory as an opportunity to present innovations in ballistic protection systems, including the modular, lightweight and cost-efficient SidePRO-ATR and SidePRO-KE/IED.
RUAG Defence offers protective solutions against all symmetrical and asymmetrical threats. Armoured vehicles can be fitted with a full range of protection systems, extending from roof and side to belly protection systems. Well known products such as SidePRO-LASSO, SidePRO-RPG, MinePRO and RoofPRO will be on display at the stand as well.
Eurosatory was also an opportunity to demonstrate, for the first time, a demo of mobile battlefield communication. Based on the Tactical openAccess platform, RUAG Defence’s network equipment such as the Tactical openAccess Node, Tactical LAN Switch and Tactical Power Supply Unit allow military and homeland security organizations to be securely connected, mobile and more effective.
As a specialist in communications solutions in the area of network enabled operations, RUAG Defence is committed to help advance the way these operations communicate, and with the recent acquisition of Ascom’s business unit Defence it now offers excellent solutions from a single source ranging from development, production through to maintenance.
