With more than 50 years experience in delivering systems, equipment and services to Naval Forces, Thales is participating in the 23rd Euronaval show, held from the 22-26 October 2012 at Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, Paris.

With a total surface area of more than 600 m², Thales’s stand is organized around 5 areas: Above Water Warfare, Underwater Warfare, Information Superiority, Maritime Surveillance System and Services.

With the largest portfolio of naval sensors worldwide, Thales’s offer in Above Water Warfare varies from surveillance, command and combat systems to support for weapon systems from both US and European manufacturers. The stand includes the following Thales solutions:

  • Integrated Mast, an innovative, integrated topside mast housing all major radars, sensors and antennas of a naval vessel
  • Smart-L, a sea-based Long range surveillance radar which will be fitted with Early Warning Capability for Ballistic Missile Defense.
  • Tacticos, the Thales Combat Management System In the field of Underwater Warfare, Thales designs and delivers acoustic systems for antisubmarine warfare and mine warfare. Our solutions and related services are suitable for all types of platforms. Thales is recognized as a leader in undersea warfare for its advanced technologies and ability to adapt to fast-changing operational contexts.

Thales is presenting on the stand:

  • Asemar, the fully autonomous AUV dedicated to maritime surveillance and security developed with ECA ROBOTICS.
  • FLASH, a low-frequency wideband dipping sonar system and TMS 2000 sonobuoy processing
  • Captas family, active and passive variable-depth sonars for surface combatants

The Information Superiority zone will showcase Thales’s ability to connect forces for maritime domain awareness. The group supports the transformation of naval forces by delivering systems and solutions that ensure that all players acquire, exploit and exchange the required information to act decisively. The stand includes the following Thales products:

  • VIGILE family, the latest generation of Radar Electronic Support Measures and Elint Systems
  • Altesse, the passive Communications Electronic Support Measures and COMINT solution
  • Artemis, a fully passive Infrared Surveillance System
  • Naval IFF, the new digital, leading edge Identification Friend or Foe systems
  • Aquilon, Thales’s new Fully Integrated Communications System including SATCOM
  • SIC 21, an integrated naval C4I system

Thales’s Maritime Surveillance System zone offers a comprehensive range of flexible solutions from equipment to systems for effective monitoring of maritime safety, security and surveillance activities. On the stand, the products showcased include:

  • AMASCOS, the mission proven Airborne Maritime Situation and Control System
  • Margot 8000, an integrated long range surveillance detection system
  • Coast Watcher 100, a long range coastal surveillance radar
