Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have entered into an official partnership - marking a first in the event's history.

A dedicated LCCI pavilion on the show floor will provide LCCI member companies from across the UK with an exclusive opportunity to demonstrate the best of British defence and security manufacturing and technologies.

Located within the Tri-Service zone, the LCCI pavilion will be ideally placed to promote especially small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) whose pioneering products have applications for the Land, Sea, Air and Security sectors.

Commenting on this inaugural agreement, DSEI Event Director Duncan Reid emphasised how the partnership will strengthen the event's unique offering to the defence and security market.

“DSEI is recognised for its ability to bring together eminent visitors from governments and militaries around the world with those that are developing the latest defence and security equipment. Working alongside the LCCI, we hope to further highlight the innovation and expertise of UK SMEs”, he said.

Colin Stanbridge Chief Executive of LCCI said: “This event will provide an excellent opportunity for Chamber members to come and show their products and services that have made many of them world leaders in their field”.

Organised by Clarion Events, Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) is the world's largest land, sea and air biennial defence and security exhibition, bringing together senior international trade and military experts from across the entire supply chain in an optimal business environment.

DSEI is held in London every two years and the last event, staged from 13-16 September 2011, was visited by senior military and other key personnel from 121 countries, including 75 official delegations. There were 30 national pavilions, representing countries from Asia and the Pacific Rim, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East.

Clarion Events is the largest independent and one of the top three events organising companies in the United Kingdom, running exhibitions, conferences and seated events across Britain, Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia.
