Rockwell Collins at Paris Air Show
13.06.2013 Europe
At this year’s 50th Annual Paris Air Show (17-23 June), Rockwell Collins will be launching a family of technologies that will provide helicopter pilots with unprecedented situational awareness to help them meet the challenges of flying in an increasingly congested and hazard-filled airspace.
Details about the new offering will be announced on June 17, and technology demonstrations will be featured in the “Helicopter Situational Awareness” portion of the Rockwell Collins exhibit.
Another highlight in the “Network Communication” portion of the Rockwell Collins exhibit is the TacNet Tactical Radio (TTR), the world’s smallest fully operational Link 16 terminal. With certification anticipated this fall, Rockwell Collins is offering the system to customers around the globe.
The exhibit will also feature Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion® integrated avionics, which entered into service this past year. The system integrates and displays essential flight information through graphically rich interfaces, including high-integrity head-up guidance featuring synthetic and enhanced vision and the industry’s first touch-screen flight displays.
Rockwell Collins has earned a number of industry awards for the innovations it is bringing to Pro Line Fusion, including Flying Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award, 2013 Gold Edison Award for synthetic vision on head-up display, Aviation Week Laureate Award finalist for synthetic vision on head-up display, and 2012 ‘Innovator of the Year’ Award from Flight International for its touch-screen flight displays.
Other Paris Air show highlights from Rockwell Collins:
Head-up Guidance System (HGS™): By effectively eliminating the need for pilots to continually transition from head-down instruments to head-up, out-the-window view during critical phases of flight, HGS provides enhanced situational awareness and energy management in VFR and IFR flight conditions.
PAVES™ On-demand In-flight Entertainment (IFE): Rockwell Collins will be demonstrating the capabilities of its newest IFE offering. The system’s architecture gives passengers high-definition video and entertainment applications, while its scalability future proofs airlines’ IFE decisions by giving them the flexibility to upgrade the system as technology advances.
Service Solutions: DispatchSM - Rockwell Collins will be highlighting the growing popularity of its Dispatch program for commercial airlines.
FlexForce™ Life Cycle Service Solution: FlexForce is a comprehensive program for defense and government agencies worldwide that brings together multiple service offerings. With the FlexForce program, the most customizable service solution available, Rockwell Collins works closely with the customer to share risk and provide transparency in repair and supply chain on Performance Based Agreements.
