As part of its extensive program on behalf of the armed and the security forces it also pays great attention to the accessories that are essential for meeting the challenges that soldiers and police officers have to confront.
The Armed Forces & Law Enforcement Weapons Systems program of Česká zbrojovka a.s. is led by the product managers of the Department of Military Equipment and by the 4M Company, with their extensive experience from their deployment in real combat and in the security services. Based on their specifications a comprehensive range of body armor (ballistic) vests was created. Its latest addition is the winning CZ 4M VIP model.
The CZ 4M VIP ballistic vest is primarily intended to be worn concealed by important persons and by the personnel who protect them. It is suitable, however, for all the members of the security forces. In terms of its ballistic resistance it belongs in Level NIJ IIIA and reliably protects against the effects of handguns, even of the very powerful caliber .44 Magnum.
In its category, defined in terms of its ballistic resistance, it is the lightest bulletproof vest on the global market. Its minimum weight - a mere 1.5 kg in the L size - has been achieved by utilizing the most up-to-date and sophisticated structured materials that, at the same time, provide the maximum degree of protection for the wearer.
The prestigious GOLDEN IDET Award is given to the most important exhibits at the International Exhibition of Defense and Security Technologies, IDET. This is a competition between the products that are assessed by an evaluation committee that comprises the leading experts in this field.
This year, the Chairman of the evaluation committee was Colonel Prof. Ing. Martin Macko, CSc., Head of the Department of Weapons and Ammunition and Vice-Rector for scientific and expert activities at the University of Defense in Brno.
The GOLDEN IDET Award was presented by the Deputy Defense Minister, Ing. Tomáš Kuchta, the President of the Defense and Security Industry Association (DSIA), RNDr. Jiří Hynek and the Chairman of the Evaluation Committee, Ing. Martin Macko.
The award was accepted on behalf of Česká zbrojovka by Ing. Petr Vávra, the Head of the Department of Military Equipment.
