DCI has completely refurbished the infrastructure of the Draguignan International Training Center, which was integrated into the Military Schools of Draguignan in November 2013, in order to expand its capacities.
The CIF-D develops and delivers individual and collective training courses in France and abroad relating to infantry, fire support, aerial coordination and air defense.
After being fully refurbished, the new CIF-D building was inaugurated on 15th December 2015 by DCI Chairman and CEO Jean-Michel Palagos, in the presence of Brigadier Benoît Royal, Commander of the Draguignan Military Schools. Jean-Michel Palagos declared: “This refurbishing responds to the center’s need for classrooms to accommodate foreign teams and trainees in optimum conditions.”
“The investment was possible thanks to the excellent collaboration between DCI and the armed forces. Our center makes a significant contribution to the local economy, since the CIF-D supports 65-80 full-time jobs, along with 67 permanent positions at Draguignan,” he added.
The training courses proposed (Basic, Advanced, Senior and Planning) are delivered in collaboration with the French Army, industrial partners and the partner countries involved, and are translated into three languages: French, English and Arabic. They include theoretical courses as well as lifelike experience using modern simulators and field exercises with operational Equipment.
The CIF-D also takes advantage of its expertise to support countries, on request, in preparing reference documentation for the acquisition of new weapon systems.
Finally, the CIF-D offers support 24 hours a day to respond to the needs and expectations of trainees and their families with due allowance for specific cultural requirements.
In the course of the 2014/2015 training cycle, 65 trainees, junior and senior officers, followed CIF-D training courses. The center will welcome 63 trainees in the 2015/2016 cycle.
