For the first time at the DSEI (Excel, London 12 - 15 September 2017), the KNDS group (KMW +NEXTER Defense Systems) is presenting the know-how and portfolio ofits subsidiaries, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Nexter.

The companies KMW and Nexter are presenting vehicle systems, simulation technology, ammunition and artillery solutions for different markets and requirements at the exhibition stand of the German-French defense technology group KNDS.

The focus is on the Boxer and VBCI 8x8 vehicles. These combat proven vehicles are in service in the user nations France, Germany, Lithuania and the Netherlands. The vehicle systems stand for highest protection and mobility and can be deployed for multiple challenges - from peace-keeping to high intensity combat missions. The KNDS CEOs Frank Haun and Stéphane Mayer declare that they are „very proud to represent the European defense leader and to promote a dynamic and ambitious German-French industry.” Through the ever-increasing cooperation, KNDS demonstrates strength and competitiveness.

KNDS (KMW+NEXTER Defense Systems) is the European leader in land defense. KNDS is the result of the association of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Nexter, two of the leading European manufactures of military land systems based in Germany and France.

KNDS forms a Group of 7,000 employees, with an annual turnover of 2.6 billion euro, an order backlog of around 8.6 billion euro. The range of its products includes main battle tanks, armored vehicles, artillery system, weapons systems, training solutions, protection solutions and a wide range of equipment.

The formation of KNDS represents the beginning of consolidation in land defense systems industry in Europe. The strategic alliance between KMW and Nexter will enhance both groups' competitiveness and international positions, as well as their ability to meet the needs of their respective national army. In addition, it offers to its European and NATO customers the opportunity of increased standardization and interoperability for their defense equipment, with a dependable industrial base.
