Harris: New VP for Air Force Programs, IT Services

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has named Alex Heidt Vice President of Air Force programs for its IT Services business. He reports to Mike Deloney, Vice President and General Manager, Department of Defense Programs. Heidt is responsible for managing operations of the company's growing Air Force business, including customer contact, program execution, and business development.
Heidt joins Harris with a strong background in operations and business development. Previously, Heidt served as vice president of Global Mission Solutions for Lockheed Martin, heading operations, finance, and business development for a $450 million division. Heidt's earlier positions include director of Business Strategy & Contracts for Lockheed Martin Information Technology and director of Business Operations for the Lockheed Martin Homeland Security Integrated Product Team. Heidt also worked with Orbital Sciences Corporation and Raytheon (E-Systems).
Heidt earned his jurist doctor in Law, master of arts degree in Finance from Catholic University, and bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Strayer University. He is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.
"Heidt's expertise in operations management and strategic orientation will enable the Air Force team to continue to deliver customer satisfaction and drive further growth," said Deloney.
