Bombardier Aerospace is showcasing its Q400 NextGen aircraft, as well as the cockpit and full-scale cabin demonstrators for its all-new CSeries jetliner at the 2013 International Aviation and Space Salon - MAKS 2013 - at Moscow’s Zhukovsky Airport from August 27 to September 1. This will be the first appearance of the demonstrators and the airliner at the Salon.

The Q400 NextGen airliner has excellent fuel and cost efficiencies, and is the only turboprop that offers jet-like speed (360 knots/667 km/h) and the flexibility to supplement jet service. Its performance capabilities, outstanding environmental qualities and product commonality across the Bombardier Q-Series family of aircraft make it an ideal aircraft for diverse operations worldwide and it is well suited for airlines operating within the Russian Federation. The Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft program currently includes some 50 customers and operators in 35 countries on five continents.

Visitors of the CSeries aircraft demonstrators will be able to sit in the pilot’s seat and experience first-hand the optimized design of the aircraft’s full-scale, fully equipped, innovative flight deck. The CSeries aircraft’s cabin was designed with flexibility and customization in mind and the cabin demonstrator is set up with a variety of seat selections and layouts from business class to all-economy, allowing visitors to experience the single-aisle CSeries aircraft’s widebody-type environment and comfort.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft also produces the CRJ regional jet family – 70-seat CRJ700 NextGen, 88-seat CRJ900 NextGen and 100-seat CRJ1000 NextGen jetliners, which are all designed for hub expansion and point-to-point services. The CRJ700, CRJ900 and CRJ1000 regional jets all have best-in-class operating costs, fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as commonality in several areas with the CRJ100 and CRJ200 aircraft. More than 80 CRJ100 and CRJ200 aircraft are operating in Russia and other countries in the CIS.

Bombardier’s commitment to bringing sales, marketing and customer services functions closer to the homes of its operators includes Russia and the CIS. The growing support infrastructure in the region includes a Regional Support Office in Moscow operated by Bombardier Aerospace Services Russia LLC and an Authorized Service Facility in Kazan. An expanding sales and marketing office in Moscow operated by Bombardier Aerospace Marketing Russia LLC is home to a growing team that is highly experienced in the regional market.

Currently, more than 120 Q-Series, CRJ and CSeries aircraft are in service with, or have been ordered by, 14 operators in Russia and five other CIS countries.

Bombardier’s Commercial Aircraft Market Forecast 2013-2032 covers the 20- to 149-seat market and expects Russia/CIS to take deliveries of 740 aircraft over the 20-year forecast period. This represents approximately 5.8% of the expected 12,800 deliveries worldwide.
