Raytheon Company has opened its newest cyber facility in Augusta, Georgia , to deliver a wide range of cybersecurity capabilities to the U.S. Department of Defense, particularly the U.S. Army Cyber Command as it relocates to Fort Gordon..
“Our Department of Defense (DoD) customers have come to rely on Raytheon to solve their toughest cybersecurity challenges – from cyber hardening to computer network defense and training,” said Dave Wajsgras (photo), President of Raytheon’s Intelligence, Information and Services business.
“Building our presence in Augusta allows us to strengthen our partnership with the Army's new Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon,” he added.
With more than three decades of experience in fighting the most serious cyber threats, Raytheon is expanding its reach by bringing its cyber expertise to the Fort Gordon area. The U.S. Army projects it will add 2,600 military, 900 civilian and 200 contractor jobs to Fort Gordon's workforce by 2019, and boost the post's student population by about 500 service members annually.
