DarkMatter, the international cyber security firm headquartered in the UAE, announced its second consecutive year of participation at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The firm will discuss the holistic approach to cyber security during the event, highlighting the use of big data analytics to help telcos drive incremental revenues.

The firm will further detail developments of KATIM™, the most secure mobile phone in the world and the expansion of its secure communications suite.

MWC 2018 is taking place from February 26 to March 1 and is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile telecom industry. Given the expanding cyber threat landscape that has been stimulated by the exponential growth in digitization, DarkMatter is actively recruiting 400 cyber security specialists from around the world, and part of its time at the show will be used engaging with potential recruits.

DarkMatter is also set to utilize its participation at MWC 2018 to highlight the quality of innovation being generated by the company, and indeed the UAE. The firm will look to re-affirm the importance of cyber resilience, which is defined as “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties and end up stronger.”  DarkMatter believes that for society to continue to reap the benefits of digitization it is critical to raise the standard of cyber security to a holistic, proactive and ongoing defense of digital assets, with an ability to recover quickly from breach and end up in a stronger position.

The firm will also have products, services and solutions on display that it describes as building a ‘Dome of Trust for a Digital Society’, and will include the firm’s work in Trust Technologies such as Public Key Infrastructure; crypto; xen1th Test and Validation Labs, and big data and analytics.

Faisal Al Bannai (photo), Founder and CEO of DarkMatter said: “Mobile World Congress is a key annual event for the connectivity and Internet of Things industry and a perfect platform for DarkMatter. Cyber security has become an essential part of the way we live and the cost of breaches are no longer counted in just financial terms, but in terms of the well-being and lives of people as well. We believe cyber resilience is the stepping stone to a safer and more secure cyber ecosystem.”

“We are excited to be one of the few organizations globally to provide world-class end-to-end cyber security solutions and we are committed to shaping the future of the industry. We are looking forward to our second participation in this global event, and are keen to engage with stakeholders from across sectors and geographies,” he added.
