In line with the directives for HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King of Bahrain’s Personal Representative, Chairman of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS)’s High Organizing Committee, Minister of Transportation and Communications, Deputy Chairman of BIAS High Organizing Committee, Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, participated in the opening of the International Paris Air Show - SIAE Le Bourget 2019, hosted by France on June 17-23 in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron. 

Bahrain’s participation aimed at promoting communication between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the participating aviation companies to accentuate Bahrain as a hub attractive to businesses in the aviation sector in the Middle East.  

The Minister highlighted the significance of Bahrain’s participation in encouraging the largest number of international aviation companies to take part in the upcoming Bahrain International Air Show, where businessmen, economic and industrial companies meet on November 18-20 at the Sakhir Airbase under the royal patronage. 

 He said the Paris Air Show is the largest air show in the world, a unique forum for leading civil and military aircraft manufacturers, making it and an ideal platform for the promotion to the Bahrain International Air Show 2020.  

On the sidelines of Paris Air Show, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications met the UAE’s Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills also Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, a number of transportation and telecommunications ministers and representatives from international companies participating in the international event within the framework of boosting cooperation for the progress of the aviation sector in the region.
