SRC, Inc. has announced that Joseph Lauko (photo) has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Vice President, Operations.
As the COO, Lauko will be responsible for managing operations for SRC’s research and development organization. In addition, he will monitor financial performance, execute the strategic plan, evaluate new initiatives and develop key industry relationships.
In his previous role as Senior Vice President, Electronic Warfare and Services, Lauko led a team of engineers engaged in developing cutting-edge electronic warfare systems and information technology applications, as well as a team of scientists supporting environmental and human health research.
“Joe’s background in technology and engineering, as well as his strong business acumen and customer relationships, has been paramount to our success. Under his leadership, SRC has grown its regional offices and will continue to support our customers around the world with capabilities and solutions that help protect warfighters,” said Kevin Hair, President and CEO of SRC.
Lauko has been with the company for over 34 years, starting as an entry-level electrical engineer and working in roles of increasing responsibility for various business areas across the enterprise. In addition to his most recent role of Senior Vice President, Electronic Warfare and Services, Lauko has been a key player in SRC’s growth internationally.
Lauko currently serves as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SRC’s three international subsidiaries, SRC AUS, SRC CAN, and SRC UK.
Lauko has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He is the chair of the SUNY Oswego engineering advisory board, a member of Paige’s Butterfly Run advisory board, and volunteers for numerous community organizations. He is also a member of AUSA and AFCEA.
SRC, Inc. also announced that Asif Moosa has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, International Business.
In his new role, Moosa will be responsible for growing SRC’s business in the complex international market. He is an accomplished business executive with more than 30 years of experience in aerospace and defense and has conducted business in more than 50 countries. Moosa has worked at SRC for three years, most recently as the CENTCOM account manager.
Before joining SRC, Moosa worked in a variety of roles with defense companies including Northrop Grumman, Denro Systems, Inc., Project Design Systems and AT&T Bell Labs. Moosa holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Iowa State University at Ames, IA and a master’s degree in management from the National Louis University at Chicago, IL.
