During the meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, they reviewed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States and prospects for cooperation in the military and security fields.
They also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, and the ongoing regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic approach, Petra news agency reported.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Director of His Majesty's Office, and the Kingdom's Ambassador in Washington.
His Majesty King Abdullah II also met on Tuesday with U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas.
The meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, discussed the Jordanian-U.S. partnership.
It also touched on Jordan's accession to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Global Entry Program. Admittance to the Global Entry Program will provide Jordanian participants expedited travel to the United States, facilitate legitimate travel and commerce, and strengthen passenger security.
The two countries agreed to sign a joint declaration as the first step to join this program during the coming period.
They also discussed the Aqaba Process launched by His Majesty the King and which provides a forum to enhance coordination and cooperation between various regional and international parties to combat terrorism and extremism.

Earlier, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday held talks at the White House, emphasizing the strong ties between the two countries.
The meeting touched on expanding the strategic Jordan-U.S. relationship, in addition to Middle East and international developments, with the Palestinian issue on the top of the agenda, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
