NGC Appoints VP, Advanced Land & Self Protection Systems

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has appointed Michael J. Meaney, Vice President, Advanced Land and Self-Protection Systems, for the Advanced Concepts and Technologies Division (AC&TD) in its Electronic Systems sector, effective immediately.

In his new position, Meaney will have executive responsibility for the sector's Advanced Land and Self Protection Systems portfolio, with a focus on the development of innovative next-generation technologies for airborne, ground and rotary wing mission electronics for a wide range of applications including electro-optical/infrared and electronic warfare self-protection systems, electronic attack, tactical information, surveillance and reconnaissance, and weapons electronics.

Meaney joined Northrop Grumman in 1994 and has held a number of leadership roles. He previously served as the Director of the Range business unit for Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems in Buffalo, New York, where the company develops and produces complex laboratory stimulation and open-air radar simulation training systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and international customers. Most recently, he served as the Director of Ground-Based Tactical Radar with the responsibility for overall performance and growth of the division's Ground-Based Tactical Radar business unit.

Meaney earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New York at Buffalo, and a master's degree in Business Administration from Niagara University.
