PJSC “AutoKrAZ” unveiled the KRAZ-ASV Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) made in partnership with Ares Security Vehicles LLC (Dubai, UAE) at the recent IDEX 2013 Exhibition (Abu Dhabi, 17-21 February 2013).

Unveiling of the Ukrainian armored personnel carrier was one of the most intriguing events of the exhibition’s first day.

Honored guests of the exhibition, among which were Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikhs, Representatives of State Governments and UAE Armed Forces, were shown the newly designed vehicle KRAZ-ASV.

After a huge cover that hided a mysterious exhibit was removed, the honored guests could see a new armored vehicle. In unanimous opinion of those present at the exhibition, KRAZ-ASV is state-of-the-art, well-designed Armored Personnel Carrier featuring excellent performance.

The all-wheel drive Armored Personnel Carrier built on the KrAZ-5233HE all-terrain chassis is provided with powerful engine. Protection level STANAG 4569 – level 2 and 3 kinetic energy and blast threat respectively.

This multirole vehicle is used for carrying personnel of military units and their fire support, for the purpose it can be provided with state-of-the-art weapon systems, active and passive protection systems.

Orders for this vehicle were placed well ahead of the day it was displayed at the exhibition. The first days of the exhibition confirmed expectations of manufacturers for the vehicle to be demanded by military men and peacekeepers all over the world.
