HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received at Safriya Palace on Monday Jordan's Chief-of-Staff General Meshaal Mohammed Al-Zaban and his accompanying delegation who are on a visit to Bahrain to attend the Bahraini-Jordanian Joint Committee meeting.
King Hamad lauded strong and distinguished historic brotherly relations between both countries, stressing constant keenness to develop them mainly in the field of military cooperation. He also praised the efforts of the joint committee in further cementing bilateral ties.
The Jordanian Chief of Staff conveyed the greetings of Jordanian Monarch King Abdullah II to HM the King as well as his best wishes of more progress and prosperity to Bahrain.
HM King Hamad asked the Jordanian Chief of Staff to convey his greetings to the Jordanian Monarch.
Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met at the BDF's General Headquarters Monday the Deputy Assistant of the US Secretary of Defence Dr. Matthew Spence.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief reviewed with Dr. Matthew Spence the existing friendly Bahrain-US relations, and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation, especially in the military field.
Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director of BDF's General Headquarters Major-General Youssef Ahmed Al Jalahma, Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al Nuaimi, Director of Planning, Organisation and Technology Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah and the US Ambassador to Bahrain Thomas Krajeski were present.
