Bahrain Defence Force said in a statement carried by Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the meeting comes within the framework of activating the joint military cooperation in the military field in order to move up the march of joint military cooperation and coordination among the GCC states.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa paid a visit to Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command headquarters where he was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Defence Minister Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma and Senior Officers.
King Hamad met Senior BDF Officers and gave them his directives, thanking all BDF personnel for their dedicated efforts to serve the nation and assume their honourable duties in defending the homeland, citizens' dignity and the development march.
King Hamad lauded the advanced level and high competence of BDF weaponries, describing them as the cornerstone of comprehensive national growth, civilisational and development gains and a source of pride for all. He also praised the noble and humanitarian participation of BDF in the Saudi-led Restoring Hope Operation and cooperation of its personnel with their GCC brethren to bring about peace in Yemen and the whole region.
