Bahrain’s Defense Chief Receives South Korean Delegation

Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received in Manama Monday the South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, Park Ho, who was accompanied by a military delegation, led by Director of Defense Acquisition in the Korean Armed Forces, Colonel Han Jang Gun.

The Commander-in-Chief reviewed with the delegation areas of joint cooperation and coordination, as well as issues of common interest.

Director of the BDF General Commander, Major-General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah, Director of Military Cooperation, Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim, and Riyadh-based South Korean Defense Attaché to Bahrain, Colonel Cheon Jae Ho, were present.

Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also received on Monday the German Ambassador to Bahrain, Alfred Simms-Protz.

The Commander-in-Chief reviewed with the Ambassador the Bahraini-German relations of friendship and cooperation, as well as issues of common interest.

Director of the BDF General Commander, Major-General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah and Director of Military Cooperation, Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim, were present.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received Tuesday, at Al-Sakhir Palace in Manama, British Prime Minister, MP Theresa May marking her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the 37th GCC Summit as Guest of Honor.

Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier were present.

HM the King welcomed the British Premier, hailing her state visit to Bahrain, being the first in the Middle East. He thanked her for accepting the invitation to attend the summit, which reflects strong historic relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom as well the GCC member states in general.

The King said that the Kingdom of Bahrain looks forward to expanding joint cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and security.

He reviewed with the British Premier strong bilateral relations and steadily -growing ties between the two countries in all fields.
