Bahrain National Guard’s Combat Readiness Inspected

Commander of Bahrain’s National Guard Lt-General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa (photo) stressed the National Guard commitment to constantly modernize its units and raise combat readiness to defend the homeland and national achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The National Guard Commander has deputized National Guard's Director of Staff, Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, to inspect combat readiness of National Guard units stationed at Al-Sakhir Camp, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The National Guard Staff Director, accompanied with Operation and Training Commander, was briefed on the combat readiness of a National Guard battalion's tasks, duties, training and operational programs, as well as future development plans and programs.

He praised the battalion’s military readiness and training level, pointing out raising the National Guard's efficiency level falls within the 2020 training program adopted by the National Guard Commander.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Defence Affairs Minister Lt-General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma received in Manama a delegation from Egyptian Military Judiciary led by Brigadier Mohammed Yasser Al-Rashidi.

The Minister stressed both countries’ keenness on promoting them in various areas, including military judiciary.

Egyptian President Abdul Fatah el-Sisi concluded a state visit to Bahrain on Tuesday, during which held talks with Bahrain’s King on the longstanding bilateral relations and regional and Arab developments.
