The Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received at the BDF General Command Headquarters the Head of the Strategy Department of the Turkish General Staff (TGS) Brigadier Mustafa Oğuz, who was on a visit to the Kingdom to take part in the 13th IISS Manama Dialogue.
The Commander-in-Chief welcomed the Turkish official and his accompanying delegation, lauding distinguished friendly relations between Bahrain and Turkey. He also praised bilateral cooperation mainly in the military field, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The meeting was attended by General Command Court Director Major General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Yusef Ahmed Malallah and Military Cooperation Director Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim Al Sada.
Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also received at the BDF General Headquarters the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee in Pakistan, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat (photo), and his accompanying delegation who took part in the 13th IISS Manama Dialogue.
The Commander-in-Chief lauded the depth of the Bahraini-Pakistan relations, praising the advanced level of those ties in various fields, especially regarding military cooperation.
Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also received at the BDF General Headquarters the UK Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach on this same occasion.
The Commander-in-Chief reviewed with the UK CDS the outstanding long-standing Bahraini-British friendship and cooperation relations.
He praised the existing cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially regarding the exchange of expertise and cooperation in the military field.
Furthermore, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF General Headquarters the Commander of the US Central Command (USCENTCOM), General Joseph Votel, and his accompanying delegation, who also took part in the 13th IISS Manama Dialogue.
The Commander-in-Chief reviewed with the USCENTCOM commander the Bahraini-U.S friendship and cooperation relations, and ways to enhance them.
They also reviewed the steadily-growing bilateral military coordination and defense cooperation, and discussed issues of common interest.
Bahrain’s Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Yussef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, and Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, were present at all four meetings.
