King of Bahrain Visits Royal Guard Headquarters

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), paid a visit to the Royal Guard headquarters, in the presence of Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa. 


HM the King was received on arrival by Royal Guard Commandant Brigadier His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. Senior Officers also greeted HM the King, Bahrain News Agency (BDF) reported.


HM the King attended Ramadan sports and military competitions, which aim at enhancing physical fitness and combat readiness and reflecting the Royal Guard servicemen’s preparedness, resilience and dedication. 


HM the King then distributed gifts to the winning teams and wished them every success. He also thanked Royal Guard Commandant Brigadier His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and all servicemen, hailing their patriotic dedication, allegiance, professionalism and impressive combat readiness. 

 

HM the King, the Supreme Commander, hailed brave Royal Guard and BDF servicemen for their dedication as part of the Saudi-led Arab Alliance (Operation Restoring Hope) as well as their relief aid efforts in Yemen. 

 

Royal Guard Officers and non-commissioned officers congratulated HM the King, who also greeted them marking the Holy month of Ramadan. The ceremony was attended by Defense Affairs Minister and BDF Chief-of-Staff.

 

In another development, Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff, Admiral Yutaka Murakawa and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Minister of Defense Affairs, Lieutenant-General Yousuf bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, and BDF Chief-of-Staff, Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi.


They discussed the strong relations between Bahrain and Japan, and cooperation between the two countries.
