The Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Lt-General Sir John Lorimer, British Senior Defense Advisor to the Middle East, in presence of Chief-of-Staff Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief praised the Bahrain-UK historic friendship ties and the cooperation in various areas including sharing expertise and cooperation in the military field, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
BDF General Command Headquarters Director Major General Hassan Mohamed Saad; Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Logistics and Supplies Naval Major General Yousef Ahmed Mal-Allah; Naval LTC Paul A. Windsar the UK’s Military Attaché to Bahrain and senior BDF Officers were also present.
For his part, Bahrain’s Royal Guard Commander, Major General His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa (photo), also received the visiting British Defense Senior Advisor to the Middle East, in the presence of Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force Colonel His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HH Sheikh Nasser praised the deep historical ties between Bahrain and UK. They discussed aspects of cooperation in the military field, through exchanging joint exercises and means of developing them in the future.
He also praised the role played by the United Kingdom at the international level in maintaining global peace and security.
