Bahrain’s Defense Chief Receives US Air Forces CENTCOM Commander

Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF’s General Command Sunday, Lieutenant General Joseph T. Guastella, Commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Southwest Asia, and his accompanying delegation.

Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, were present.

The Commander-in-Chief welcomed the US delegation, and lauded the friendship relations between the two countries.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen the steadily growing bilateral ties, especially regarding military coordination and defense cooperation, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

BDF General Command Court Director, Major General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Supply and Catering, Rear Admiral Yussef Ahmed Malallah, Bahrain Royal Air Force Commander, Air Vice Marshal Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Director of Military Cooperation, Rear Admiral, Mohammed Hashim Al-Sada, and Senior BDF Officers were also present.

Earlier, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received the newly appointed Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and Lieutenant General Dhiyab bin Saqer Al Nuaimi Chief-of-Staff, were present.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the strong historical and fraternal ties between the two countries, which is witnessing development in various fields, wishing him success in his new diplomatic mission.
