His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has welcomed Jordanian Monarch, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, who was accompanied by Crown Prince HRH Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdulla II, and HRH Prince Hashim bin Abdulla II, upon their arrival at the Sakhir Air Base Monday, on a visit to Bahrain.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, also welcomed HM King Abdulla II.
The Jordanian Monarch was accompanied by Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Hani Al Khasawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, Advisor to HM King Abdulla II for Policies, Haifa Khraisha, and the Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain, Rami Saleh Wreikat Al Adwan.
An official reception ceremony was held for HM King Abdulla II at the Al-Sakhir Palace, where the national anthems of the two kingdoms were played, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Furthermore, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held an official session of talks Monday with Jordanian Monarch, HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein at Al-Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Crown Prince of Jordan HRH Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdulla II, and HRH Prince Hashim bin Abdulla II.
HM the King welcomed the Jordanian monarch and hailed deep-rooted historic relations binding the two countries, lauding Jordan’s honorable stances towards Bahrain.
He valued the important role of Jordan, led by HM King Abdulla II, in supporting Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, promoting joint Arab action and contributing to the strengthening of pan-Arab and international security and stability.
The Jordanian monarch expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality, stressing his country’s pride in its relations of cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
The two leaders reviewed outstanding fraternal relations, joint cooperation and coordination and ways of further bolstering bilateral ties in all fields.
They also discussed latest developments in the Middle East, in addition to measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries, regarding different issues, towards achieving the Arab interests and aspirations.
